AVT-203 Simulated User Environment

Ever wonder what makes simulators so realistic? If so, AVT-203 is the course for you.

Simulated User Environment focuses on the simulation environment of the operator, hardware, and subsystems. Multiple degrees of freedom (DOF) motion systems are examined along with the control loading of pedals, yokes, and other user feedback requirements. The integration of audio systems, including voice recognition and synthetic voice, is explored. Dynamics models such as aero models are explained as well as their effect on the user experience and the course concludes with a discussion of the host processing control of the simulation.

Course Objectives

  • Control Systems
